Book Full of Typos Recalled

The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that the Princeton University Press recalled all 4,000 error-riddled copies of Cop in the Hood: My Year Policing Baltimore’s Eastern District by Peter Moskos, an Assistant Professor of Law, Police Science, and Criminal Justice Administration at the City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice.  More than 90 errors made it to print in the 245-page book.  Taking unprecedented steps to rectify the mistake, the Press will reprint the book. Editor-in-Chief Search

CEO Update, a prominent, bi-weekly newsletter focusing on careers, events, and people in the association and non-profit sector, is seeking and Editor-in-Chief to increase the publications prominence, develop its business potential, and lead a team of professionals.

Founded in 1991, CEO Update started as a jobs publication and grew to become the pre-eminent resource of its kind for top executives in associations and non-profits. It was purchased by Leading Authorities in 2005 and has been transformed into a prominent news publication for this same audience. Circulation and revenues have increased dramatically during this period and the publication has recently introduced a new business concept, Association Intel, the leading database on association salaries, revenues, and expenses.

The current Editor-in-Chief is relocating to Colorado and CEO Update is seeking an accomplished journalist with entrepreneurial skills to continue growing and expanding the publication. This position is responsible for creating content, news, features, and career stories with a small team of reporters, developing a long-term editorial calendar, networking within the association community, and staying abreast of association news and developments. The Editor-in-Chief is involved in the business side of the publication and manages a professional staff of five.
